We are fortunate to be able to offer you the best and most informative tour of the Estes Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park. Our tour guides are retired National Park Rangers and Historians of the Estes Valley area who are passionate about the area in which they reside and look forward to the opportunity to be able to share it with you.
Our Tour Guides are happy to customize our tour for you, but a typical tour consists of a visit to the historic Stanley Hotel, The MacGregor Ranch and the historic Fall River Hydroplant. We will enter the Rocky Mountain National Park at the Northeast entrance where we visit the Lawn Lake Alluvial Fan to learn about the famous flood that damaged most of the downtown of Estes Park in 1982. We will then travel through the Park and tour the Hidden Valley Ski area site, Many Parks Curve, Rainbow Curve, historic Moraine Park and will exit through the Southeast entrance where we will visit the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Beaver Meadows Visitors Center. Time permitting we may also visit the YMCA Center of the Rockies and the east portal of the Alva Adams Tunnel.
A more scenic tour might include visits to the Alpine Visitor Center, the Continental Divide, and other scenic overlooks on Trail Ridge Road (only available from Memorial Day through early October).
SEE THE ELK! September and October in Estes Park offer an amazing sight not available in many other locations in the country - Elk Mating season. Let us do the driving so you can see the thousands of Elk gather in our area and have our guides at your "beck and call" to answer all of your questions. During this time our tour will generally focus on "Elk watching" but again, we can customize our tour for you and will be happy to also take you through the most memorable areas in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
We will pick you up at your Estes Park Lodging location for a 2 1/2 to 3 hour tour and then bring you back at the conclusion of the tour.
